We know that planning a small, private wedding or elopement can be stressful. That’s why we’ve put together a few pieces of our best advice for you.
- Plan to book your wedding 1 year to 8 months in advance. This ensures we can secure your desired wedding date.
- We’re not the type of hotel that has big, wild wedding parties. Think intimate. Your closest family and best friends. If you’re looking for a small and intimate experience, this is your place.
- Book out the whole hotel and host everyone at Hotel Aguas Claras. For smaller, private weddings, couples find it less stressful to coordinate accommodations by hosting everyone at the hotel.
- The number of events you plan is up to you. We find that many couples like to plan a welcome party or rehearsal dinner, ceremony and reception.
- We recommend that your guests fly into Juan Santamaria International Airport (SJO). There are many direct flights into (SJO) from the US & Canada. Your family and friends can arrive here easily within a day. Also we can plan the private charters from any airport in Costa Rica.
- For a more exclusive arrival, consider chartering a helicopter. From SJO, you’ll land at our nearby designated landing field only a 4min drive from Hotel Aguas Claras.
